Finland and Sweden scrambled fighter jets together for the first time to intercept Russian military aircraft

Fighter jets from the rapid response forces of Finland and Sweden were scrambled to intercept and identify Russian military aircraft in international airspace over the Gulf of Finland on September 24, according to the official X account of the Finnish Air Force.
This was the first such joint operation by the two countries. According to Bloomberg, Finnish F/A-18 Hornets and Swedish JAS 39 Gripens were scrambled.
The Russian air group was identified to include a Tu-134, a MiG-31, and a Su-30, the Finnish Air Force reported.
