The novella «Alpine Ballad» is considered one of Bykaŭ's most famous works and has been translated into more than 50 languages. This is its second adaptation: about 60 years ago, a film based on this work was directed by Boris Stepanov, with Lyubov Rumyantseva and Stanislav Lyubshin in the main roles.
