The film will tell the story of the behind-the-scenes life of the First Lady of the USA for 20 days before Donald Trump's inauguration, culminating in the family's return to the White House. The creators promise to show unique footage from private events and meetings that have not been previously published.
Melania Trump served as the executive producer of the film and for this purpose founded her own company, Muse Films. According to rumors, the name refers to her secret code name during Trump's first presidential term.
The documentary was directed by Brett Ratner, known for the films "Rush Hour", "X-Men: The Last Stand", "Horrible Bosses" and the series "Prison Break". This is his first major work after accusations of harassment made in 2017.
Amazon acquired the rights to show the film for $40 million. The project is currently in post-production and is scheduled for theatrical release in late January 2026.
After the trailer's release, audience reaction has been mixed: Republican supporters await a motivational story about a strong woman, while critics call the film propagandistic and question its substance.
