Russia is ready to resume trilateral talks with the United States and Ukraine in the second decade of November. This was stated by Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov after a three-hour meeting between Vladimir Putin and US President's special envoy Steve Whitkoff in St. Petersburg.

According to Ushakov, the main topic of discussion was the war in Ukraine. He claims that after its end, Russia is ready to discuss the creation of a security system for Russia and Ukraine.
Ushakov also stated on the "Vesti" program that the war with Ukraine is nearing its end.
"I don't know how close we are, but it's moving towards that," he said, answering a question about the prospects of ending the conflict.
During the meeting, Putin also shared some practical considerations with Whitkoff regarding a possible meeting with US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. It could take place on November 18-19 in Shenzhen, China, within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
In addition, according to Ushakov, Putin showed the American envoy a map of the frontline, stating that Russian troops allegedly hold the initiative. The parties also discussed possible economic projects between Russia and the United States.
