On the M1 highway, customs officers detained a commercial shipment of foreign equipment imported through a clever scheme
During special operations on the M1 highway, customs officers stopped an Iveco vehicle belonging to a Belarusian carrier. The driver presented documents stating that knitwear products were being transported in the truck.

However, during the inspection of the cargo compartment, it was discovered that the cardboard boxes actually contained 92 units of household appliances, construction tools, and game sets. The total value of the consignment amounted to about 160 thousand rubles.
Further inspection showed that the equipment was imported across the Polish-Belarusian border by various individuals, declaring the goods as intended for personal use.

The Brest Customs initiated administrative proceedings under Part 2 of Article 15.1 and Article 13.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Belarus. The illegally imported goods were confiscated pending a court decision.
