In Grodno, an old building was not demolished, but its reconstruction began. Here's what it will look like
The unique two-story wooden house in the Novy Svet (New World) district was built in 1932 in the Constructivist style with a basement and a mezzanine. For a long time, it was residential. Previously, a butcher shop from one of the farms in the Grodno region was located in its basement, writes "Svaboda".

Building on Mickiewicz Street
According to the project by "VKL-project" company, the first floor will house a hotel lobby, a restaurant, and a cafe. Ancillary premises for public catering establishments will also be located here.

The second and third floors will be occupied by apartments and rooms, as well as technical facilities for their maintenance. The basement will house ancillary premises for the restaurant and cafe. The building is located at Mickiewicz Street, 1, opposite the administration of the Leninsky district.

Novy Svet (New World) — is a former Grodno suburb that was developed from the end of the 19th century. Starting from the second half of the 2000s, the authorities significantly demolished old quarters, preserving only a part of the houses.
