China for the first time confirmed preparations for a meeting of Xi, Trump and Putin
China for the first time confirmed that it is holding talks about a possible trilateral meeting of PRC Chairman Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, writes Bloomberg.

«China maintains contacts with relevant parties regarding a possible meeting of the leaders of China, Russia and the United States», stated Mao Ning, spokeswoman for the PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting could take place at the summit of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), which will be held on November 18-19 in Shenzhen, China.
As Bloomberg notes, the Chinese Foreign Ministry's statement two weeks before the supposed meeting indicates that Beijing is indeed considering the possibility of holding it.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Putin proposed the idea of a trilateral meeting to Trump during a phone call on October 9. The publication claimed that the Russian president wants to agree in this format on an end to the war on terms favorable to Russia.
Trump had previously publicly stated his readiness to hold such a meeting. However, he emphasized that he would primarily want to discuss nuclear disarmament at it, not the Russian-Ukrainian war.
