4,000 Euros Found in Candy Packaging from Germany at Minsk Post Office
Employees of the "Minsk Post Office" customs point found 4,000 euros hidden in candy packaging during the inspection of one international parcel, writes the State Customs Committee.

The parcel was sent from Germany to a citizen of Belarus. In the customs declaration, the sender indicated that it contained cosmetics, clothing, and food products.

Customs officers' suspicions were aroused by one of the candy packages, which looked atypical. After opening it, money was found inside.

The Minsk Regional Customs has initiated an administrative process under Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The money was confiscated pending a court decision.

Customs reminded that sending cash in international postal items is prohibited, regardless of the amount or currency.
