Belarusian Sanatorium Announced Discounts for Participants of Russian 'SMO'. And Then Changed Its Mind
On November 3, the publication "Zerkalo" drew attention to the fact that the 'Ruzhansky' sanatorium in the Pruzhany district offers a discount on 'Sanatorium and Resort Treatment' and 'Wellness' vouchers for Russians who participated in the war in Ukraine. The relevant information was posted on the sanatorium's website.

The institution offered discounts of 15 and 20% depending on the arrival date, as stated on the website:
"— pensioners by age;
— disabled persons of 1st, 2nd, 3rd groups;
— veterans, participants, and disabled persons of the Great Patriotic War;
— veterans, participants, and disabled persons of combat operations in other states;
— participants of the 'SMO';
— liquidators and citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster."
However, after independent media reported on this, the line about 'SMO' participants disappeared from the website.

There is no information on the sanatorium's website regarding why the decision was made to remove 'SMO' participants from this list.
It is known that, besides 'Ruzhansky', the Lepel military sanatorium has been accepting 'veterans and participants of the SMO' since the beginning of the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine. There are also known instances of their wellness treatment at the 'Vyazhuty' sanatorium near Molodechno.
