From November 10, baggage drop-off desks at all airports serving Ryanair flights will close 60 minutes before scheduled departure, the company's press service reports . Currently, they cease operations 40 minutes before the aircraft's departure.

The airline explained the changes by the need to give passengers more time to pass through pre-flight security checks and passport control. This should also help reduce the already small number of cases where passengers miss flights due to delays in these procedures.
According to Ryanair, 80% of its passengers do not check in baggage. They, as before, can check in online for their flight before arriving at the airport and proceed directly through the security area to the boarding gate.
