Remember the official who got a creative excuse for killing a man while hunting? He got away with it again.
In early 2020, the former mayor of Dokshitsy, Oleg Pinchuk, accidentally shot and killed his longtime friend, businessman Valery Yanchak, while hunting. They were alone in the forest, there were no witnesses. The Investigative Committee opened a case for manslaughter, and then creatively released Pinchuk from responsibility, as he lived in an area contaminated by Chernobyl. Recently, Pinchuk had a new story related to hunting.
As Nasha Niva has learned, Oleg Pinchuk, who currently heads Glubokoegaz, has again been detained by officers of the State Inspection for the Protection of Flora and Fauna on suspicion of poaching.
This happened in mid-October. Traces of an animal killing were found in the forest. Somehow they came out specifically on Pinchuk.
The official was searched, unregistered weapon parts for covert hunting (a silencer-flash suppressor) were found, and he was interrogated.
But Pinchuk was not detained for long; on October 21, he was already at his workplace and, in a conversation with a journalist, denied any problems with the law in a disgruntled voice.
As we now know, Pinchuk actually has no problems with the law.
In a mysterious way, investigators failed to prove that the silencers found at Pinchuk's home belonged to him. He explained that this property belongs to some other person living abroad.
As a reminder, in 2020, Pinchuk avoided responsibility for involuntary manslaughter because he fell under an amnesty. It was in his favor that he once lived in a contaminated zone and had the appropriate status. Therefore, that case was closed.
