Mass production of Tesla Semi electric trucks will begin this year. The company's CEO, Elon Musk, wrote about this on X.
Tesla unveiled the Semi electric truck back in 2017, and its production began in 2022. Pepsi ordered the first batch of 100 trucks. In 2018, Musk presented an unmanned Semi model, RBC writes.
The truck is equipped with three electric motors. As stated on Tesla's website, the truck consumes 1.7 kWh per mile (1.6 km) and can travel up to 500 miles (804 km) without recharging.
