On February 11, the SSD noted on its Facebook page that videos from YouTube, recorded by Belarusian special services, are being distributed on social media. The video, spoken in Lithuanian, discusses problems "created by the government's unjust actions." Those wishing to discuss this are offered to contact the KGB of Belarus via a "secure channel."
"The SSD warns and asks not to succumb to provocation and not to get involved in harmful activities of a foreign state, as this carries criminal liability.
The SSD reminds that Russian and Belarusian special services actively use social networks to find potential agents, conduct recruitment, and maintain contact with them, and urges that if there are suspicions of an attempt at recruitment or suspicions that special services of hostile states are monitoring, to inform Lithuanian intelligence about it.
The SSD calls on those residing in Lithuania who have already become involved in the activities of Russian or Belarusian special services or have received an offer of cooperation, to contact the SSD and take advantage of the legal opportunity to avoid criminal liability.
