The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has increased tariffs for passenger rail transport.

Tariffs for passenger transportation by public rail transport on urban lines have increased by an average of almost 27%.
For example, a ticket within one tariff zone will now cost 54 kopecks more — 2.54 rubles.
As for the cost of tickets on regional lines, tariffs depend on the distance, train class, and a number of other factors.
On average, the cost of travel in an economy class train increased by 11 kopecks — to 52 kopecks per travel zone and by 1.1 kopecks to 5.2 kopecks per 1 kilometer of travel.
On interregional lines, the cost of travel in business class trains increased in the range of 0.7 — 23.21 rubles to 5.12 — 168.28 rubles, depending on the distance, type, and car.
