The main events of his visit, which is being carried out at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, are scheduled for May 14-15.
On the morning of May 14, Trump is expected to attend a solemn official welcome ceremony.
Afterward, bilateral talks with Xi will take place, and then Trump will visit the Temple of Heaven — a 15th-century imperial temple complex. The first day will culminate in a state banquet.
On May 15, the leaders will hold informal talks over tea and a working lunch, after which Trump will leave Beijing.
It is expected that an agreement will be reached regarding Xi's visit to the United States.
