Stormy winds left more than 30 settlements in Grodno region without electricity
On August 22, the Grodno region was hit by strong winds brought by cyclone "Priska". The most affected by the bad weather were Grodno, Shchuchyn, Masty and Voranava districts, "Grodnoenergo" reports .

"Grodnoenergo" has introduced a special operating mode. Specialists are restoring electricity supply in settlements affected by the disaster. Currently, more than 30 settlements in the region remain without electricity.
The main cause of accidents was power line breaks after trees fell. Necessary special equipment, apparatus, and additional personnel were deployed in the affected areas to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather.
Earlier, orange and red levels of danger were announced for August 22 in Belarus. Rescuers warned of squally winds with gusts up to 27 meters per second.
