Bill Introduced in US Congress to Block Agreement on Russian Diesel Fuel
Among the co-authors of the document are 17 members of the House of Representatives.

Member of the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, Democrat Gregory Meeks, introduced a bipartisan bill aimed at blocking an agreement between the US and Russia regarding diesel fuel, writes "Ukrainska Pravda".
The bill prohibits the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation from investing in Russian energy; it revokes general licenses issued by the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control and prohibits the issuance of such licenses in the future. In addition, it obliges the administration of US President Donald Trump to impose sanctions against the Russian energy sector.
"This agreement will not reduce costs for the American people, who are already paying for the failed war Trump decided to start in Iran. It will bring millions of dollars to Putin so that he can continue to kill Ukrainian civilians with impunity," said Gregory Meeks.
"At a time when the United States should be increasing pressure on the Kremlin, Donald Trump is courting Putin and making deals for his own enrichment instead of supporting Ukraine. This contradicts everything the United States stands for. Congress must act. Every member of Congress who claims to be outraged by this should join in passing this bill," he stated.
