In Nesvizh, a two-story historic mansion was sold with a large discount

A two-story mansion from the time of Polish rule in Western Belarus was sold at auction in Nesvizh for only 71,610 rubles, or 23,798 dollars according to the National Bank exchange rate, reports Domovita.by.

In the building on Syrakomli Street, a dental prosthetics laboratory operated during Soviet and post-Soviet years. It was put up for auction several times, and finally, the fourth auction was successful for this house.

Along with the two-story brick building, the winner received a land plot of almost 8 ares on a half-century lease.

The bidding for the sale of the two-story brick house on Syrakomli Street, 21 in Nesvizh, lasted almost half a year and concluded only on the fourth attempt. The seller was the Nesvizh Central District Hospital, which put the property on the electronic platform "BUTB-Property".

Previously, a dental prosthetics department operated here, but after the medical staff relocated, the 274.8 square meter building stood vacant.

Investors long hesitated to acquire this historic building. In May and July of this year, the property was unsuccessfully attempted to be sold for 341,000 rubles. In August, the price was exactly halved — to 170,500 rubles, but even then, no buyers were found. However, after the lot's price was reduced by 80%, when the initial price dropped to 68,200 rubles, a buyer finally emerged.

One bidder responded to such a generous discount — a private investor from Minsk. According to the auction rules, the lot was awarded to the sole participant who submitted a bid, with an increase of 5% over the initial price. As a result, the transaction amount was 71,610 rubles, which corresponds to 23,798 dollars. The new owner plans to convert the building from a medical facility to a residential one and make it a private home.

In addition, since the mansion is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of Belarus, the owner will need to sign a protective obligation, obtain approval from the Ministry of Culture for conducting research within three months, develop a restoration project, and commence construction work within three years.

The building itself can certainly not be called ordinary — its past is quite complex. Official documents indicate 1935 as the year of construction, but historical sources suggest that the house was built in 1924–1926. It was part of a "government" quarter — the so-called officials' colony from the time Western Belarus was part of Poland.

To settle visiting officials in Belarusian lands, new houses were built in Nesvizh with state funds in the Zarechcha farmstead area. Similar quarters were also erected in Brest, Stolbtsy, and Braslaw. The general plan for the Nesvizh colony was developed by Warsaw architect Teodor Bursche and engineer Józef Krupa. House No. 21 was designed personally by Bursche, intending it for two families.

The architecture of the houses was chosen with high roofs and porches that imitated noble estates. Two other buildings of this historical ensemble have been preserved nearby. In Soviet times, the quarter was used as a forestry base and received the popular name "forestry settlement," and later transferred to medical personnel.

если в других странах всё приватизируется сразу или в короткий срок , то лука растянул этот процесс на десятилетия давая влзможность "заработать" своим холуям, а потом покупать по смешным ценам.
