Zelenskyy: After the truce announced by Trump, Ukraine did not strike oil refineries once, while Russia struck energy facilities six times

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that on October 12, Russia launched strikes on six energy facilities in Ukraine, despite the energy truce proposed by the US. According to the Ukrainian president, 33 people were injured across the country as a result of Russian attacks.

Zelenskyy noted that Russia's actions indicate its unwillingness to agree to a halt in strikes on energy infrastructure. According to him, Russian attacks occur when the Kremlin sees an opportunity to increase profits for its war machine.

In an interview with Fox News, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is still ready for the energy truce proposed by the US. However, he doubts that Vladimir Putin will agree to it, because even after Donald Trump's statements about a possible ceasefire, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian gas infrastructure.

Zelenskyy also stated that on the night of October 12, Ukraine did not strike energy facilities on Russian territory, as Trump had announced an agreement on an energy truce. According to the Ukrainian president, Russia in response attacked gas facilities and other energy infrastructure in Ukraine. He called these actions Putin's response to the American president's proposal.

On October 11, Trump stated that Ukraine and Russia had allegedly agreed to cease strikes on energy facilities. Following this statement, Zelenskyy reported that he was unaware of any agreements reached, but he expressed Ukraine's readiness for such a truce.
