A woman was traveling through the "Brest" checkpoint in a car with German license plates and chose the red corridor to process the temporary import of the car.

During the interrogation, she stated that she had no other goods requiring declaration.
During the inspection, customs officers found three icons hidden under covers in the seat pockets. These are "Our Lady of Akhtyrka", "Our Lady of Eleusa Talgskaya", and "Our Lady of All Who Sorrow, Joy".
Expert examination showed that the icons originated from the territory of the Russian Empire. They were dated to the XVII-XVIII centuries, XIX century, and early XX century. The total estimated value of the three items exceeded 6 thousand rubles. The icons were confiscated pending a court decision.
