Vitebsk student created a program to monitor the condition of moles
A mobile application for assessing skin neoplasms from photographs has been developed in Belarus. Its author is Aliaksandr Rudziankou, a student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies at Vitebsk State University named after Petr Masherov, writes BelTA.

The program, named "Radzimka" (Mole) in Belarusian, uses artificial intelligence and is designed to detect suspicious skin changes. To use it, you need to find the NevusGuard bot in Telegram, open the program, photograph the mole, and send the image. After this, the system will automatically generate recommendations: continue observing the formation or consult a doctor.

The developer emphasizes that the program does not replace a medical specialist. It is a tool for monitoring skin condition, which can help draw attention to suspicious changes in a timely manner.
Currently, the service is undergoing testing in several medical institutions. It is primarily intended for primary healthcare workers and specialized professionals.
For now, the program recognizes only seven skin diseases, two of which are oncological. In the future, the author plans to expand the list of diseases that the system can detect. According to him, if the algorithms can be brought to a high mathematical accuracy, the development could gain international distribution.
