For the first nine months of 2026, Belarusians imported about 96.7 thousand cars from abroad — 37.5% more than in the same period of 2025. This was reported by the Belarusian Automobile Association.
Among cars up to three years old, the Chevrolet Equinox is the most popular. Geely Coolray takes second place, and Geely Atlas is third.
In the category of cars aged three to five years, the Chevrolet Equinox also leads. The top three most demanded models in this age group include GMC Terrain and Peugeot 3008.
Among cars older than five years, Belarusians most often import Peugeot 5008, Nissan Qashqai, and Renault Megane.
The association noted that private imports remain the main channel for cars entering the Belarusian market.
The age structure of imported cars is also changing. In 2026, the share of cars younger than three years old grew to 22.6% compared to 18.8% for the analogous period of 2025. In quantitative terms, the import of such cars increased by 64%.
Cars aged three to five years accounted for 39.6% of all imports in the first three quarters of the year, while cars older than five years accounted for 37.8%.
Thus, Belarusians not only import cars from abroad more often but also increasingly choose newer cars.
