Rubio: Ukraine does not have access to the Starshield military satellite system
«They requested access to it to conduct deep strikes inside Russia».

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Ukraine has not yet gained access to the American military satellite system Starshield. It, like Starlink, is being developed by Elon Musk's company SpaceX.
«Starlink is a commercial product. And therefore it is regulated and treated as a commercial product. Starshield is a defense product, a military product,» Rubio told the press.
«I know that Ukraine wants to get access to Starshield. Currently, they do not have Starshield. They requested access to it to conduct deep strikes inside Russia,» he added.
Regarding Starlink, Rubio noted that the U.S. had not limited its speed for Ukraine.
«I don't know what version they [Ukraine] have, but the White House has nothing to do with this. (...) No one in the White House ordered anyone to slow down the internet or reduce speed so that certain drones could not use it. But, as far as I understand, it is working and functioning again.»
Earlier, advisor to the President of Ukraine on defense technologies Serhiy Beskrestnov reported on restrictions introduced by SpaceX on the night of October 14. Communication disappeared when moving at a speed exceeding 160 km/h. Due to this, a number of operations were disrupted. Subsequently, Starlink's operation began to recover. Reuters, citing its sources, wrote that the order to limit the satellite system's operation came from the White House. Donald Trump, in turn, stated that neither he nor likely Musk disconnected Starlink for Ukraine.
