Intervision Contest will not take place this year

It was supposed to be held for the second time.

The analogue of "Eurovision" was planned to be held in Saudi Arabia, but was postponed to 2027. The cancellation may have occurred amidst increasing attacks by Yemeni Houthis.

“Due to a complex set of circumstances, it is not yet possible to hold the contest in Saudi Arabia. According to available information, it has been proposed to hold the contest in 2027,” a TASS source said.

Intervision was first held last autumn in Russia. More than 20 countries participated, and the singer from Vietnam, Dinh Phuc, won.

Belarusian representative Anastasia Kravchenko took sixth place.
