Two out of three oil tankers heading to the USA with Russian fuel have changed course.

This has jeopardized the earlier agreement between White House head Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the purchase and import of Russian diesel fuel. This was reported by the Financial Times.
According to FT data, the Russian tanker Talisman and the tanker Leruo, which belongs to a Hong Kong company and sails under the flag of Sierra Leone, no longer list the US Atlantic coast as their destination.
Since November 2, Leruo has changed course to Brazil, while Talisman entered the Mediterranean Sea and is now off the coast of Algeria. It is transmitting the signal "for orders". This means that the cargo does not yet have a confirmed buyer or port of destination.
Both tankers are subject to European Union sanctions, notes the Financial Times.
The third tanker, Agioi Fanendes, belonging to the Greek shipping company Eastern Mediterranean Maritime, continues to move towards the USA, but is also transmitting the signal "for orders".
"The tanker is due to arrive in New York this weekend. However, given the obvious caution of American buyers due to regulatory, legislative, and sanctions risks, it would not be a surprise if this tanker also changes course, abandoning its entry into the US," FT quotes Kpler company analyst Matt Smith.
Meanwhile, the sanctioned tanker Beast, owned by companies from the Seychelles, loaded in the Russian port of Primorsk on October 27 and continues to move towards the US Atlantic coast, notes FT.
