Tsapkala and Balkunets asked Trump for Lithuania not to deport Karach and Skindzerau
The politicians complained to Trump about the Lithuanian authorities, who are "moving in the opposite direction" from US policy, recognize people as a threat to national security "on fabricated grounds" and "effectively hand them over to Belarusian special services."

Politicians Valery Tsapkala and Dmitry Balkunets on November 4 sent a letter to US President Donald Trump.

The letter begins with gratitude. The authors say that the release of Belarusian political prisoners is "the biggest humanitarian achievement in Europe, and possibly in the world, in decades."
However, Tsapkala and Balkunets claim that the Lithuanian authorities "are moving in the opposite direction," recognize people as a threat to national security "on fabricated grounds" and "effectively hand them over to Belarusian special services."
As an example, the authors cite Kalinouski regiment fighter Vasil Verameichyk, as well as the head of the "Our House" organization Volha Karach and entrepreneur Dzmitry Skindzerau.
Tsapkala and Balkunets ask Trump to call on Lithuania to stop the "deportations".
And at the same time, to investigate the possible misuse of "hundreds of millions of euros" in American and European aid.
Recall that recently Lithuania finally decided to expel Dzmitry Skindzerau from the country. His refugee status has been revoked.
Volha Karach has been declared a threat to Lithuania's national security, but she has not yet been expelled from the country.
