Two Belarusians Detained in Germany with Illegal Goods. This is the Second Time in Two Months
In the German state of Mecklenburg — Western Pomerania, two Belarusians were detained who were transporting goods worth approximately 2500 euros in their car but could not prove their origin. This occurred two months after the men had already been detained in another part of Germany under similar circumstances, writes the website «Belarus and the World».

The incident occurred on November 3 on Usedom Island. Police checked two Belarusians, aged 43 and 56, before they were about to leave for Poland in a Mercedes E-Class.
During the check, it was revealed that the Neuruppin public prosecutor's office had issued an arrest warrant for one of the passengers in connection with theft. He had previously come to the attention of the police due to property crimes related to crossing state borders.
During the search of the car, a large number of everyday goods were found: laundry detergent capsules, coffee packs, chocolate bars, and other items totaling about 2500 euros. The men could not produce documents confirming their ownership of these goods. Furthermore, they gave contradictory explanations regarding the origin of the items and their travel route.
Previously, both Belarusians were detained on September 4 while leaving for Poland near the village of Pomellen. At that time, laundry detergent, alcohol, coffee, and hygiene products worth approximately 3000 euros were found in their car.
