Belarusian Railway promised to improve mobile communication quality along its lines
Plans are underway in Belarus to improve the quality of mobile communication and internet along the railway. This was discussed on November 4, 2026, at a working meeting with the management of Belarusian Railway.

The meeting was attended by Pavel Tkach, First Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization, Sergey Navadvorski, Chief Engineer of Belarusian Railway, representatives of mobile operators, and heads of the railway's structural divisions.
Participants discussed how to make mobile communication services more qualitative and accessible along the railway. To achieve this, detailed surveys are planned for locations where additional base stations can be installed, including using the infrastructure of Belarusian Railway.
By 2029, the 4G/LTE network should fully cover several important railway routes: Orsha — Minsk — Brest, Gudagai — Minsk — Gomel, and Yezyaryshcha — Orsha — Zhlobin. These routes are part of the transport corridor system.
