Belarusian youth teams allowed to participate in international volleyball competitions
Belarusian youth volleyball teams have once again been given the opportunity to participate in international tournaments. This decision was made by the Administrative Board of the European Volleyball Confederation during an online meeting on March 3.

The decision allows junior teams from Belarus and Russia to compete in youth competitions under the auspices of this organization.
This is related to the decision of the International Volleyball Federation, adopted in December 2025 following the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee. According to it, young athletes should not be excluded from international youth tournaments.
The new rule is effective from January 1, 2026, and applies to competitions conducted by the European Volleyball Confederation. The exact conditions and practical order of teams' participation will still be clarified.
