In Grodno, they are trying to sell the buildings of the "Grodno" hotel and restaurant on Popovich Street again. The electronic auction is scheduled for November 12, the initial cost of the object is about 4.6 million rubles, writes newgrodno.by.
This is already the third attempt to sell the property in the last few months. In August, they asked for 9 million rubles for it, and in September, the price was reduced to 7.2 million. However, no buyers were found, so now the object is being put up for sale more than twice cheaper than in August.
The hotel was built in 1985 as part of a complex with the "October" cinema. At that time, it could accommodate up to 500 guests simultaneously. The restaurant located in the building was also popular.
However, about 20 years after its opening, the hotel was closed: the building no longer met modern safety requirements.
In 2016, a Chinese investor acquired the complex. He planned to create a modern hotel with restaurants and business areas, but the project was not realized. As a result, the owner had the building taken away, and now they are looking for a new buyer for it.
