Pentagon Refused to Investigate Starlink Operation Restrictions in Ukraine
The Pentagon's Inspector General refused to investigate restrictions on the operation of Starlink and Starshield satellite systems in Ukraine, despite a request from senators of both parties

Nine senators — four Republicans and five Democrats — appealed to the Pentagon's Inspector General, Plott Mooring, with a request to ascertain at whose command the operation of Starlink and Starshield for Ukrainian military personnel was restricted, writes the Washington Post.
In their appeal, the lawmakers also asked to ascertain whether these restrictions affected the exchange of intelligence information and air threat warnings for Ukrainians.
However, in the Pentagon's response dated October 27, the Inspector General stated that the questions raised fall within the purview of the U.S. Air Force.
Following this, Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen criticized the refusal to conduct an independent investigation: «It is concerning that the Inspector General chose not to investigate the disruptions in satellite communication on which Ukraine relies for the protection of its civilian population.»
