US President signed an executive order, according to which relevant departments must develop a strategy to combat Asian tiger mosquitoes, yellow fever mosquitoes, and other invasive species in the American capital within 60 days.

The document also provides for a 50% reduction in the tick population in Washington. The program's implementation involves the use of biotechnology and non-chemical methods.

The Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture, as well as the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, will participate in developing the plan.
