Nine-year-old child suffered severe burns due to playing with a lighter

The accident happened in the Mosty district

The boy was playing near the house with flammable liquid and a lighter. An instantaneous ignition of the flammable mixture's vapors occurred, causing the container in the child's hands to catch fire, reports the State Forensic Examination Committee.

Thermal burns covering a total area of 42% were recorded on the boy's body.

The injuries were classified as severe bodily harm.
