A pilot project is being carried out in the Malaryta district, and it is planned to expand it to the whole country.

In Belarus, the possibility of expanding the practice of organizing suburban passenger transportation on demand is being considered. This was reported to journalists yesterday by Andrei Hladki, head of the automotive and urban passenger transport department of the Ministry of Transport, BelTA reports.
The pilot project has been implemented since late September in the Malaryta district of the Brest region.
"On-demand" transportation implies that a suburban bus or route taxi departs along a route or enters a specific sparsely populated area only when a request is received from passengers in advance. This means that residents of sparsely populated areas will not be cut off from cities — transport is guaranteed to arrive if there is a corresponding request.
The scheme was developed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications to solve the problem of transport links in regions with low passenger traffic.
"We will see how the project proves itself in the Brest region, and, starting from 2027, we will implement it everywhere so that people living in small settlements have the opportunity to use transport services," Andrei Hladki noted.
