The money was found in grandmother's house after a fire.

A Belarusian woman showed three burnt banknotes in Threads and asked if such money could be exchanged at a bank, writes Onliner.by.
The money was found in grandmother's house after a fire. The photo shows that the banknotes were severely damaged by fire, but their serial numbers were preserved. The publication gained more than 1.1 million views.
Threads users expressed the opinion that the money should be accepted. Some advised contacting the National Bank directly. Others shared personal experiences: for example, one woman said that her banknote, which was chewed by a dog, was exchanged.
The official account of Belarusbank also joined the discussion. They explained that banknotes can be checked when contacting a branch. The bank can accept damaged banknotes if they have lost no more than 45% of their original area. This also applies to money damaged by fire, water or other liquids.
The main thing is that the damage should not prevent determining the authenticity of the banknote. When applying, you need to bring your passport with you.
In the end, everything turned out well: the author reported that all three banknotes were exchanged for her.
