The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus accused Lithuania of violating its airspace with a drone.

According to the Foreign Ministry, on November 30, a «fixed-wing aircraft» crossed the border from the Lazdijai district of Lithuania and crashed on the territory of Grodno.
According to the ministry, analysis of the debris showed the planned route: the drone was supposed to fly over Belarus, then enter Poland, and then return to the launch site in Lithuania.
«Minsk considers the incident a deliberate provocation. The Belarusian side demands that Lithuania: provide detailed information about the incident, conduct an investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice, take measures to prevent recurrence of such cases. Belarus reserves the right to take the necessary measures to protect its sovereignty,» the statement said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Lithuania, Erikas Vylkanetsas, and expressed an official protest to him.
