In Polotsk, grandson robbed grandfather for nine months, stole a total of 200 thousand rubles
A 20-year-old guy, while visiting his grandfather, saw where he kept his savings. A few days later, he secretly took a thousand dollars, writes BelTA.
Having spent the money, the young man returned for more — 40 thousand euros. With these funds, he rented a room in Vitebsk, renovated it, updated furniture and appliances, bought clothes, groceries, alcohol, and also spent money on entertainment.
As soon as the money ran out, he would go to his grandfather and take as much as he needed from the piggy bank.
Later, the young man moved to Minsk, lived extravagantly — bought expensive phones for girls and gave gifts (household appliances) to the mother of one of them.
When the 67-year-old victim discovered the disappearance of money (it turned out he was saving it for housing for his children), he contacted the police. The suspect was quickly identified. The grandson did not deny his guilt.
By the time of his arrest, he had managed to spend almost all the cash stolen over nine months, which amounted to 208 thousand rubles in equivalent.
A criminal case has been initiated.
