Aryna Sabalenka's Engagement Ring Worth 800 Thousand Dollars Stolen During TV Show
Belarusian tennis player, world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, almost lost an engagement ring worth 800 thousand dollars while participating in a popular American TV show.

The athlete received this expensive gift in the spring from her fiancé, Brazilian businessman Georgios Frangulis. The couple got engaged on March 3 in the American city of Indian Wells. The WTA Finals are scheduled to start there on November 8, where Sabalenka plans to conclude the current playing season.
The diamond ring disappeared from the tennis player's finger during a performance by American mentalist and illusionist Oz Pearlman, who invited Sabalenka to participate in his act. The magician subtly removed the ornament, and the athlete did not immediately notice its disappearance. A few minutes later, when she had already started to worry, Pearlman dramatically pulled the ring out of an ordinary yellow tennis ball.
Sabalenka was impressed by the illusionist's dexterity and skill.
"I'm in shock and I'm still checking if it's the right ring!" she shared her emotions with a smile on social media.
The ring was custom-made by jewelers according to an individual sketch for Frangulis's future wife. Its true market value could be significantly higher than the mentioned 800 thousand dollars.
