"Our show just ended." The Belarusian State Circus explained why they are forced to look for 15 employees at once
The Belarusian State Circus announced a search for 15 employees at once. A large portion of these vacancies are creative positions. Why is the circus looking for so many people? Posing as a job seeker, a journalist from the "Zerkalo" publication called the institution to find out what caused the dismissal of such a large number of workers.

“You don’t have to worry, our show just ended, so vacancies opened up, now they are closing again. We needed to post them,” said circus director Vladimir Shaban and asked to contact his assistant.
She noted that the vacancies appeared not simultaneously, but gradually.
“Perhaps you didn’t come across our advertisement earlier, because few people visit the circus website [in this section],” explained the director’s assistant. “And we have many vacancies because, in principle, we have many staff units, and since there is no specific circus school in Belarus and we are a small country, finding professional people is quite difficult. No, this doesn't mean that everyone left us at once. Our staff is large, truly large; we don't have just ten people working on staff, so ten vacancies against a background of 300 people, believe me, is not that many.”
At the same time, the employee assured that salaries at the circus are paid on time and are not delayed.
“I have been working here for 20 years, but in my memory, such a thing has not happened,” she claims. However, she could not announce the salary range, stating that everything is decided “when you come.”
“We all have different salaries, and it's somehow not customary to discuss it among ourselves, so. I don't even know, at the level of rumors, what's happening there,” said the director’s assistant. “And again, everything depends on your qualification, on your skills. If you, I don't know, figuratively speaking, jump three somersaults, that will be one salary; if two, then another.”
As for the vacancies that have been on the website since November 3, 2023, the circus employee admitted that it's possible the page had not been updated.
“But if they are still there, it’s entirely possible that we still need [employees]. For example: we need five clowns. Well, finding five clowns at once is quite difficult,” she explained.
Meanwhile, the website of the State Employment Service lists 15 vacancies from the Belarusian State Circus. For example, they are ready to pay ballet artists 1500–2000 rubles, a uniform attendant (a specialist who lays out the arena, installs equipment, etc.) — 1600–2000 rubles, and an animal trainer — 375–625 rubles for a quarter-time position. Cleaners and laborers — 1200–1500 rubles, an economist — 1500–2000 rubles.
